The emergence of global subjects

Mariano Croce, Ph.D. (Institute of State and Law)

Research activity will focus on questions of sexuality and migration and will address the techniques, which the law has at its disposal when creating legal categories, which then decide which forms of subjectivity are considered legally conforming and therefore socially accepted and adopted. Specifically focusing on the so-called questions of homonacionalism and the ways in which the law is dealing with international human rights violations and normalization of its subjects. International workshop, featuring foreign experts in interdisciplinary interaction with the local academic community will be held. Selected findings of the workshop will then be published in prestigious international journals. Besides these outputs, it is projected that this project will revitalize and deepen the research on these topics in the Czech academic environment
